Patrick Beverley out again as Rockets host Celtics
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
Patrick Beverley will not play Monday when the Houston Rockets host the Boston Celtics.
Beverley hurt his ankle Friday against the Denver Nuggets and subsequently missed Saturday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He was on crutches during the game, and there is no timetable for his return.
It's a case of bad timing for the scrappy guard, who had just come back after missing two games due to a concussion. He's averaging 4.7 points and 0.7 steals per game, both under his career averages.
The Rockets have dropped three straight - their second such losing streak this season - wrapped around a four-game winning streak.
