Heat's Hassan Whiteside records triple-double with blocks
Hassan Whiteside had himself a block party on Tuesday, and invited the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Whiteside rather emphatically shut down the Timberwolves' interior attack with a 10-block performance as part of a 22-point, 14-rebound triple-double effort.
He also became the first player to notch a point-rebound-block triple-double since, well, his own 14-point, 13-rebound, 12-block performance against the Chicago Bulls last season.
Whiteside has blocked Karl-Anthony Towns (2x), Gorgui Dieng (2x), Andrew Wiggins, Kevin Garnett, Ricky Rubio and Nemanja Bjelica. Tonight.

Whiteside's dominance, however, wasn't enough to dissuade Andrew Wiggins from trying to posterize him. Wiggins beat Whiteside but drew back iron.
Anyone could have signed the 7-foot phenom last winter when Whiteside was an unrestricted free-agent, but personality concerns dissuaded most suitors.
Only the Heat took a chance on Whiteside, giving him a two-year minimum deal, and now they're reaping the rewards.
Coming into Tuesday's game, the 25-year-old held averages of 14.6 points, 11.7 rebounds, and a league-best four swats per game.
Whiteside's effort, however, wasn't enough to hold off the Timberwolves who raced to a 103-91 victory with a 40-point fourth quarter.
