Dubinsky vows to keep playing Crosby hard
A one-game suspension isn't going to change the way Brandon Dubinsky approaches the game, especially not when facing the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Columbus Blue Jackets forward was forced to sit Saturday as a result of a cross-checking incident involving Sidney Crosby the day before. But even after serving time for his actions, Dubinsky doesn't plan to take it easy on the star center moving forward.
"You know, I've played the same way my whole career and I'm not going to change. The next time I have an opportunity to play (Crosby), I'm going to play him hard," Dubinsky told Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Post-Dispatch.
"I'm not trying to crosscheck a guy in the neck, regardless of what anybody else thinks. I'm going to play him hard, I'm going to play him as physical as I can, and I'm going to play as clean as I can. But I'll make it a tough night on him."
Fair enough.
The two teams are set to square off again on Dec. 21 in Pittsburgh.
