VIDEO: Defense isn't James Harden's cup of tea

James Harden didn't help his reputation for being a lazy defender with the drivel he put forth at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night.
With the New York Knicks looking to push the ball up the floor, the Houston Rockets shooting guard gave up on the play after teammate Corey Brewer failed to intercept the basketball, allowing for an uncontested two-handed slam by Lance Thomas.
Brewer's progress was impeded by Thomas clotheslining him on the way to the basket, with Harden perhaps signaling to the official for the whistle to be blown.
Even so, it's hard to justify the three-time All-Star's decision to focus his attention elsewhere with the play ongoing, especially when factoring in his prior blatant defensive miscues.
