- Chris Weidman will put his middleweight crown on the line against Luke Rockhold in the co-main event at UFC 194 on Dec. 12. Rockhold has been on an absolute tear since 2014, and stands to be the most difficult challenge of Weidman's two-year reign.
- Also occupying the main card of UFC 194 is a potential title eliminator between Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and Yoel Romero. A venomous grappler with dynamite in his fists, Jacare is 5-0 since coming over to the UFC from Strikeforce, while the "Soldier of God" is 6-0 after making the same promotional transition in 2013.
- Michael Bisping will make his return to the Octagon against Gegard Mousasi when the UFC travels to London in February. Bisping was originally set to face Robert Whittaker at UFC 193, but was forced to pull out after undergoing elbow surgery.
- Speaking of Whittaker, he took on late-replacement Uriah Hall instead of Bisping at UFC 193, outworking "Prime Time" for 15 minutes en route to a unanimous decision victory.
