DFS: Saturday's Point Guard Value Rankings
Here are theScore's point guard value rankings for Saturday, December 5 (excluding players from Denver-Philadelphia and Golden State-Toronto, due to the early start times of those games):
Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C
Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Rajon Rondo (SAC) | at HOU | 10 |
Damian Lillard (POR) | at MIN | 9 |
Derrick Rose (CHI) | vs. CHA | 8 |
Ricky Rubio (MIN) | vs. POR | 8 |
Isaiah Thomas (BOS) | at SA | 8 |
The best value is tied to the most expensive options Saturday. Rondo and Lillard have both the highest floors and ceilings and should be slotted into every lineup. Rose is more volatile but comes with a much lower price tag. He's logged over 30 minutes in four straight, so he should be good to go. Rubio may still be nursing an injury, but look for his minutes and production to increase.
Best of the Rest
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Kemba Walker (CHA) | at CHI | 7 |
George Hill (IND) | at UTA | 7 |
Elfrid Payton (ORL) | at LAC | 7 |
Darren Collison (SAC) | at HOU | 6 |
Patrick Beverley (HOU) | vs. SAC | 6 |
Mo Williams (CLE) | at MIA | 6 |
Goran Dragic (MIA) | vs. CLE | 6 |
Austin Rivers (LAC) | vs. ORL | 6 |
Tony Parker (SA) | vs. BOS | 5 |
Walker's last game was his worst of the year...don't expect him to repeat that. Hill and Payton are far from sure things but come at a discount from the top options. Collison off the bench will still be more productive than several starters. Ignore Beverley's averages as he's only just taken over as Houston's starter. He's not a lock, but he could be a nice sleeper.
Nothing to See Here
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Trey Burke (UTA) | vs. IND | 4 |
Zach LaVine (MIN) | vs. POR | 3 |
Jose Calderon (NY) | at MIL | 3 |
Michael Carter-Williams (MIL) | vs. NY | 2 |
Ty Lawson (HOU) | vs. SAC | 2 |
After a back injury looked like it was going to ruin Burke's production, he has come back to slight relevance. Jerryd Bayless (not playing) and Carter-Williams are in a hopeless situation in Milwaukee and neither is worth rostering with confidence. LaVine is back to the bench with Rubio healthy. Wait to see if Lawson can string together multiple games of production before trusting him again.
