DFS: Saturday's Shooting Guard Value Rankings
Here are theScore's shooting guard value rankings for Saturday, December 5 (excluding players from Denver-Philadelphia and Golden State-Toronto, due to the early start times):
Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C
Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
James Harden (HOU) | vs. SAC | 10 |
Jimmy Butler (CHI) | vs. CHA | 10 |
Dwyane Wade (MIA) | vs. CLE | 9 |
Andrew Wiggins (MIN) | vs. POR | 8 |
C.J. McCollum (POR) | at MIN | 8 |
Harden against the Kings will be very one sided. He could put up 50 points. Butler costs less and will be the next best thing Saturday. Look for Wade to play up to his competition with LeBron in town. McCollum has shown that he will be productive as the Trail Blazers second-best scoring option almost every time out.
Best of the Rest
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Alec Burks (UTA) | vs. IND | 7 |
Victor Oladipo (ORL) | at LAC | 7 |
Rodney Hood (UTA) | vs. IND | 6 |
Arron Afflalo (NY) | at MIL | 6 |
Manu Ginobili (SA) | vs. BOS | 6 |
Khris Middleton (MIL) | vs. NY | 6 |
Avery Bradley (BOS) | at SA | 6 |
Jamal Crawford (LAC) | vs. ORL | 5 |
Austin Rivers (LAC) | vs. ORL | 5 |
Despite coming off the bench, Burks has been returning steady value. His last three have especially singled him out as a better option than Hood. Oladipo is also coming off the bench, but it hasn't hurt his production much. Bradley has shown he can return value against strong defenses, so the matchup against the Spurs shouldn't hurt him much.
Nothing to See Here
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Monta Ellis (IND) | at UTA | 4 |
J.R. Smith (CLE) | at MIA | 4 |
Marco Belinelli (SAC) | at HOU | 3 |
Langston Galloway (NY) | at MIL | 3 |
Kevin Martin (MIN) | vs. POR | 3 |
Jeremy Lamb (CHA) | at CHI | 3 |
Evan Turner (BOS) | at SA | 2 |
Danny Green (SA) | vs. BOS | 1 |
Ellis's value will increase once he's fully healthy. Galloway has been bad lately. So has Belinelli. Martin is starting, but he hasn't seen much success. Green has been the biggest bust at SG and should not be rostered until he can regain his past composure.
