Monday's Shooting Guard Value Rankings

Jerome Miron / USA TODAY Sports

Here are theScore's shooting guard value rankings for Monday, December 14's 10-game slate:

Value Rankings

PG | SG | SF | PF | C

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Wesley Matthews (DAL) vs. PHX 10
Eric Bledsoe (PHX) at DAL 9
Tyreke Evans (NO) at POR 8
James Harden (HOU) at DEN 8
DeMar DeRozan (TOR) at IND 8

The early-season minutes restriction is clearly off Matthews, who's logged at least 34 in each of his last seven games. His all-around game should be on full display against the fast-paced Suns, with Bledsoe offering similar production at a much higher price.

Harden has the highest-ceiling of anyone at the position, but also regularly among the priciest DFS options. Evans has assumed New Orleans' point guard duties despite being officially listed as a SG; he has regularly logged upwards of 30 minutes while averaging 15.5 points, 7.2 assists and 5 rebounds since missing the first five weeks of the season.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
Jimmy Butler (CHI) vs. PHI 7
Dwyane Wade (MIA) at ATL 7
C.J. McCollum (POR) vs. NO 7
Will Barton (DEN) vs. HOU 7
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET) vs. LAC 7
Gary Neal (WAS) at MEM 6
Bojan Bogdanovic (BKN) vs. ORL 6
Victor Oladipo (ORL) at BKN 6
Monta Ellis (IND) vs. TOR 6
J.J. Redick (LAC) at DET 6

Butler's ceiling is only topped by Harden, but will he be given a rest against Philadelphia once the game is inevitably in hand? Butler is averaging 37.1 minutes.

With Bradley Beal sidelined for at least the next two weeks with a leg injury, Neal offers a more explosive scoring option compared to Garrett Temple. Bogdanovic has entered Brooklyn's starting lineup and provides strong scoring, 3-point shooting and rebounding numbers for the position.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Alec Burks (UTA) at SA 5
Jamal Crawford (LAC) at DET 5
Garrett Temple (WAS) at MEM 5
Eric Gordon (NO) at POR 5
Gary Harris (DEN) vs. HOU 5
Manu Ginobili (SA) vs. UTA 5
Terrence Ross (TOR) at IND 5
Courtney Lee (MEM) vs. WAS 5
Gerald Henderson (POR) vs. NO 4
Devin Booker (PHX) at DAL 4

Inconsistency reigns supreme on this portion of the list, with Harris, Gordon and Ross unable to always make the most of extended playing time. Lee entered Memphis' starting lineup Sunday and could have increased value if he's there again Monday. Ginobili and Henderson can be productive, but don't always see enough action to be viable options.
