One day before the NHL's 2016 Winter Classic, Gillette Stadium is hosting an alumni game between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens featuring a number of greats including Ray Bourque and Cam Neely for Boston, and Guy Carbonneau and Alex Kovalev for Montreal.
Chris "Knuckles" Nilan spent stints in both Montreal and Boston, and though he's listed on the Canadiens' roster Thursday, the former enforcer didn't break allegiance to Beantown with the back of his jersey sporting Bruins colors.
Nilan sits ninth all time with 3,043 career penalty minutes. He played 80 games as a member of the Bruins, but the first nine years and final 17 games of his career with the Canadiens.
