Arizona Coyotes forward Shane Doan scored the 380th goal of his NHL career Thursday to pass Dale Hawerchuk for the franchise record against the new rendition of the team he began his career with - the Winnipeg Jets.
The long-time captain hit the milestone beating Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck after finishing a give-and go with rookie Max Domi on a two-on-one.
Doan entered Thursday fresh off a hat trick against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday, and added an empty-net goal later in the game for his fifth goal in his past two games.
The 39-year-old began his NHL career during the Jets' final season in Winnipeg before the team relocated to Phoenix in 1996.
Hawerchuk, the Jets legend, wished Doan the best prior to the game.
