Report: Bournemouth wants loan for AC Milan's Stephan El Shaarawy
Bournemouth has submitted a loan offer for AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy, according to Sky Sports' Allan Valente.
The Italy international has been on loan at Monaco this season but hasn't scored in Ligue 1. Recent reports have suggested he'll no longer be fielded by the club in order to avoid an obligatory buy-out clause of €13 million.
With significant injuries to Callum Wilson and Max Gradel, Cherries boss Eddie Howe has lost some significant firepower and it's no secret he was looking to address this issue in the January transfer window. Now, the Premier League newcomer will reportedly offer El Shaarawy an escape from his sorry spell in the principality.
Bournemouth could face competition from Genoa, Bologna, and Fiorentina for 2012's Serie A young footballer of the year.
