Chris Bosh makes funny faces at his kids during games
Chris Bosh makes his fair share of funny in-game faces, but, at least some of the time, he knows he's doing it.
The Miami Heat power forward, whose token gape-mouthed howl once got him compared to Voldemort, is apparently directing many of those facial contortions at his children, who sit courtside with his wife at home games.
"My kids started it," Bosh told Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post. "My oldest (Trinity), she started it. She loved coming to the games and they like interacting with me. When my son (Jackson) got old enough he started coming to the games and doing it, too. They're right there and the whole time they yell, 'Daddy, Daddy, Daddy.'
"Actually, I can't remember if I started making faces at them or they started it. I don't know. I've been doing that with my daughter for four years at least. Every time they sit there I do it. They love it."
While that may seem a goofy (if in-character) practice for a player while in the hothouse of an NBA game, Bosh feels it helps keep him even-keeled, and reminds him to check his behavior on the court.
"It actually helps settle me down knowing that they're sitting there watching what I say and do on the court," he said. "It's good, man."
