Manny Machado was one of three Baltimore Orioles who reportedly avoided arbitration on Friday as he agreed to a one-year pact worth $5 million, plus performance incentives, a source told the Baltimore Sun's Eduardo A. Encina and Jon Meoli.

Machado, 23, who earned just $548,000 in 2015, had a MVP-caliber season. He slashed .285/.359/.502 with 35 home runs, 86 RBIs, 102 runs scored, and 20 stolen bases, while also appearing in his second All-Star Game and winning his second Gold Glove.

Along with a new deal for the young third baseman, the Orioles also came to terms on agreements with right-hander Chris Tillman and infielder Ryan Flaherty, according to industry sources.

Tillman will reportedly earn $6.225 million, while Flaherty's salary will rise from $1.075 million to $1.5 million.

The 27-year-old Tillman made 31 starts for Baltimore, posting a 4.99 ERA across 173 innings of work, while Flaherty, who played six different positions for the club, slashed .202/.281/.356 with nine home runs and 31 RBIs.
