The former Arsenal and Manchester City man put pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain at Selhurst Park until the end of the campaign.
An Eagles player has not managed to trouble the scoresheet in each of the team's last six top-flight outings. The side has just 24 goals over the course of the season, a drab record that's only above Aston Villa's 18 tallies. It is hoped Adebayor can find the form that sees him ranked 25th in the highest scorers in Premier League history.
The Togolese was frozen out at Tottenham Hotspur at the start of the season as the club tried desperately to free itself of his £100,000-a-week wages. Moves to Aston Villa and West Ham collapsed in the summer window, however, while the forward himself showed a reluctance to leave north London.
He was released from his Spurs contract last September, and appeared to enjoy the early days of unemployment:
Later social posts from Adebayor appeared to show his efforts to return to match fitness though, and Pardew confirmed his interest in the 31-year-old earlier this month.
Adebayor will wear his familiar No. 25 shirt for Crystal Palace, and could be in contention for his new side's visit from Stoke City in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
