Chelsea announced Wednesday that Brazilian midfielder Ramires has joined Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning.
Ramires joins the Chinese side in a permanent transfer following over five years at Stamford Bridge, where he helped Chelsea capture several domestic and continental trophies since his arrival from Benfica.
Terms of the transfer were not disclosed, but it's believed Jiangsu Suning will pay Chelsea £21 million to secure the Brazilian's services.
"We thank him for his service and wish him well in China, where he will be coached by another former Blue, Dan Petrescu," the team said in a statement.
The transfer will offer Ramires a chance to play regular first-team football after he failed to make an impression with new Chelsea gaffer Guus Hiddink.
Ramires was limited to just 12 appearances in the Premier League under both Hiddink and former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
It's expected that his move away from Stamford Bridge could present a chance for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to feature in an increased role.
