Jimmy Butler carted off vs. Nuggets with sprained knee

Chicago Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler left Friday night's game in a wheelchair after sustaining a sprained left knee. He will not return.
Butler collided with the Denver Nuggets' Joffrey Lauvergne in midair as he drove to the basket, landing awkwardly on his left leg. Butler also missed Wednesday's game versus the Sacramento Kings with a left knee injury.
The left knee is the same knee Butler has been having issues with. He missed Wednesday's game because of left knee tendinitis.

If Butler misses any time due to the injury, it would be a huge blow for Chicago, which already has Joakim Noah and Nikola Mirotic out of the lineup for extended periods.
Prior to the injury, Butler was enjoying a terrific offensive game, collecting 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting in 18 minutes.

The two-time All-Star has been a terror on both ends of the floor in 2015-16, averaging 22.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists, while often covering the other team's best wing player.
