On the first Wednesday of every month, theScore's MMA editors compile a list of the top 10 fighters in each of the major weight classes.

Rankings
Heavyweight | Light Heavyweight
Middleweight | Welterweight
Lightweight | Featherweight
Bantamweight | Flyweight
Women: Bantamweight | Strawweight

Ranking Fighter
1 Joanna Jedrzejczyk
2 Claudia Gadelha

7 Karolina Kowalkiewicz
8 Valerie Letourneau
9 Livia Renata Souza
10 Maryna Moroz
  • The good news is that a rematch between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha is official. The bad news is we have to sit through another season of "The Ultimate Fighter" before it goes down. The consensus top-two 115-pounders are set to coach the 23rd edition of the reality show and then they will battle for the title in July.
  • Invicta FC strawweight champion Livia Renata Souza kept her title and her undefeated streak alive with a first-round TKO of DeAnna Bennett on Jan. 16. She's 9-0, and has a win over Finnish standout Katja Kankaanpaa. Only one opponent has even managed to make it to a decision against the deadly Souza, who has dubbed herself the "strawweight Conor McGregor".
  • Undefeated Justine Kish made a successful return to action when she defeated Nina Ansaroff via a controversial decision at UFC 195. Injuries dulled much of the hype around Kish, but after almost two years away from the sport she's on the way back to reclaiming her reputation as a top prospect.
  • Much of the top 10 remains in limbo, with Jessica Aguilar, Carla Esparza, and Tecia Torres all currently without fights booked for 2016. In fact, no 115-pound fights are booked until March 20 when Australian Bec Rawlings welcomes Korean Seo Hee Ham to Brisbane at UFC Fight Night 84.
