Here are theScore's center value rankings for Friday, February 5:

Value Rankings

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Sean Monahan (CGY) vs. CLB 10
Brandon Dubinsky (CLB) at CGY 9
Sidney Crosby (PIT) at TB 8
Boone Jenner (CLB) at CGY 8

Monahan is coming off a four-point night on Wednesday. Columbus leads the league in goals allowed by a wide margin and remain without their starting goaltender.

Dubinsky has excelled since Ryan Johansen was shipped out. Stepping in as the first-line center, Dubinsky has nine points in his last 10 games. Jenner has filled in admirably playing on his left wing.

Crosby has been on a tear with 14 points in his last eight games. The coaching change has rejuvenated the former Hart Trophy winner and can be trusted to produce in any matchup.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
Ryan Getzlaf (ANA) vs. ARI 7
Bryan Little (WPG) vs. CAR 7
Mark Scheifele (WPG) vs. CAR 7
Vladislav Namestnikov (TB) vs. PIT 6
Sam Bennett (CGY) vs. CLB 6

Getzlaf has only four goals on the season, but that could easily change against the youthful Coyotes defense core.

Carolina has done a great job of preventing shots on net, but not preventing goals this season. The MTS Centre is an incredibly tough place to play, especially for a team travelling across the continent.

Namestnikov remains Tampa's first-line center and is still very cheap. He's pointless in four-straight games, but the Russian recorded a hat-trick in his last game against the Pens.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Eric Staal (CAR) at WPG 4
Tyler Johnson (TB) vs. PIT 3
Steven Stamkos (TB) vs. PIT 2

Stamkos is far too expensive to trust, while Johnson is having a season to forget.
