Iverson says he's never seen anything like Stephen Curry
Soon-to-be Hall of Famer Allen Iverson saw a lot in his 14-year NBA career, but apparently none of it compares to what Stephen Curry is doing this season.
Iverson appeared on Sirius NBA Radio during All-Star weekend to share high praise for Curry, a fellow MVP.
"That dude, that light-skinned dude. Ah, man. I never seen anything like this in my life," Iverson said. "I was a certified serial killer, but this dude has it all.
"He got the jumper, his handles is what it is ... God man. This dude right here is unreal," Iverson said.
Iverson's career petered out before Curry's fully came into blossom. Their only matchup came in 2009, when Curry's Warriors fell to Iverson's 76ers 117-101. Curry had 16 points and four steals to Iverson's 20 points and four assists.
Curry, in many ways, is carrying on Iverson's legacy: Standing just 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, the diminutive Curry resembles Iverson in dominating the league as an undersized, below-the-hoop guard.
