Monty Williams offers prayer, forgiveness to driver who killed his wife
While the majority of the NBA community was focused on the trade deadline Thursday, Oklahoma City Thunder assistant coach Monty Williams and his family and friends mourned Williams' late wife.
Ingrid Williams was killed in a car accident last Wednesday, after a driver reportedly traveling 92 mph in a 40-mph zone crashed into her vehicle head-on.
The other driver, Susannah Donaldson, also died in the crash. At his wife's funeral Thursday, a resolute Williams offered prayer and forgiveness to Donaldson and her family.
"Everybody's praying for me and my family, which is right," he said. "But let us not forget that there were two people in this situation, and that family needs prayer as well. And we have no ill will towards that family."
