VIDEO: Cespedes rolls into camp in huge custom truck
The Yoenis Cespedes hype train - or truck, as it were - steamrolled its way into New York Mets training camp three days earlier than expected.
Cespedes, who re-signed with the Mets last month, showed up at the club's minor-league complex in Port St. Lucie, Fla., in typical style Sunday, luring the hordes of media personnel away from the action on the field, and into the parking lot where the outfielder had arrived in an enormous white custom Ford F-250.

Cespedes' arrival came three days before Wednesday's official report date for position players.
"Our clubhouse is part of how good we are," manager Terry Collins told ESPN on Saturday. "The guys get along with each other. They like each other. They root for each other. And to have 'Ces' here just shows you he wants to be a part of it. He said he loved the clubhouse. He loved the atmosphere. Well, he needs to be a part of it. And now he's coming in to be a part of it. And I think that will send a huge message to the other guys that, hey, look, he's not just talking. He's for real."
Though his early arrival was unexpected, his flashy entrance was not. The fashionable Cuban became at least $27.5 million richer this winter after signing a three-year, $75-million deal that includes a lucrative opt-out after the 2016 season.
''It's meeting some of the new guys, creating that bond, getting in there early - that's one of the things that was important to me,'' Cespedes said. ''That's why I'm here early.''
