After a dominant offseason where they acquired outfielder Jason Heyward and second baseman Ben Zobrist, the Chicago Cubs have emerged as World Series favorites as spring training gets underway.
Previous odds had the San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks as closing in on the Cubs, but the latest release from oddsmakers sees Chicago as overwhelming 4-1 favorites. The aforementioned Giants, meanwhile, dropped to 18-1, while Arizona fell to 30-1.
