Thursday's Point Guard Value Rankings
Here are theScore's point guard value rankings for Thursday, February 25:
Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C
Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Damian Lillard (POR) | vs. HOU | 10 |
Jrue Holiday (NO) | vs. OKC | 9 |
Isaiah Thomas (BOS) | vs. MIL | 8 |
Stephen Curry (GS) | at ORL | 8 |
Patrick Beverley (HOU) | at POR | 8 |
Lillard is less expensive than the big names and he's on an explosive tear. He's worth every penny and needs to be in your lineup. Holiday is inexpensive relative to the position and will be a nice second option if you spend up elsewhere.
Curry, despite being on the second half of a back-to-back, should put out one of his expected lines chock full of three-pointers and assists. He's worth the reach in salary. Beverley is the riskiest of the bunch, but comes with a much lower salary and will need to do much less to return value.
Best of the Rest
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Russell Westbrook (OKC) | at NO | 7 |
Donald Sloan (BKN) | at PHX | 7 |
Patty Mills (SA) | at UTA | 6 |
Marcus Smart (BOS) | vs. MIL | 6 |
Michael Carter-Williams (MIL) | at BOS | 5 |
Westbrook costs more than Curry and is also on the second half of a back-to-back. He'll still put up a solid line, but he'll be better in season long fantasy leagues than DFS on Thursday. Sloan is a nice bargain and his minutes are up because of the Nets' nagging injuries. Mills is a better option than teammate Tony Parker because of his lower salary and recent usage uptick.
Nothing to See Here
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Tony Parker (SA) | at UTA | 4 |
Elfrid Payton (ORL) | vs. GS | 3 |
Archie Goodwin (PHX) | vs. BKN | 3 |
Brandon Jennings (ORL) | vs. GS | 2 |
Norris Cole (NO) | vs. OKC | 2 |
Payton has yielded minutes and production to Brandon Jennings since the trade with the Pistons. Neither is really worth considering. Cole has likewise seen his role reduce as Holiday has emerged as the preferred point guard.
