Ravens offered Osemele big money, opportunity at left tackle
The Baltimore Ravens may have found their new left tackle on the interior of their offensive line.
Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters Wednesday that his team made impending free-agent guard Kelechi Osemele an aggressive offer, adding that the Ravens view the Iowa State product as a left tackle.
A source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that the offer wasn't only aggressive, but it would have made Osemele the Ravens' second-highest-paid offensive player behind quarterback Joe Flacco.
This almost certainly means Eugene Monroe's time with the Ravens is over.
Osemele has very limited experience at left tackle, making his debut at the position in December 2015 with Monroe hurt, but has played right tackle and is a borderline All-Pro talent at guard.
