The San Antonio Spurs have officially waived third-string guard Ray McCallum, the team announced Monday.
With its roster now standing at 14 players, San Antonio can move ahead with the reported signing of veteran point guard Andre Miller for the remainder of the season, pending his physical.
McCallum, 24, was acquired by the Spurs over the summer in a trade with the Sacramento Kings in exchange for a future second-round draft pick.
In 31 appearances this season, McCallum averaged 2.2 points and 1.1 assists on 40.3 percent shooting while playing behind Tony Parker and Patty Mills.
