Here are theScore's center value rankings for Saturday, March 5:

Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN) | vs. BKN | 9 |
Dwight Howard (HOU) | at CHI | 9 |
Andre Drummond (DET) | at NY | 9 |
Rudy Gobert (UTA) | at NO | 8 |
It's not bad idea to pony up for the elite centers on Saturday. Towns should run roughshod through the Nets and their awful defense.
Howard should return to double-double form against the Bulls. Their frontcourt has been decimated by injuries, with Pau Gasol frantically trying to hold up the fort.
As of Friday, the Knicks have won just two measly games since January 20. Drummond should have a huge night going up against the middling Robin Lopez.
Best of the Rest
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
DeAndre Jordan (LAC) | vs. ATL | 7 |
Brook Lopez (BKN) | at MIN | 7 |
Jared Sullinger (BOS) | at CLE | 7 |
Al Horford (ATL) | at LAC | 6 |
Marcin Gortat (WAS) | vs. IND | 6 |
Tim Duncan (SA) | vs. SAC | 6 |
Timofey Mozgov (CLE) | vs. BOS | 5 |
Ian Mahinmi (IND) | at WAS | 5 |
Pau Gasol (CHI) | vs. HOU | 5 |
Robin Lopez (NY) | vs. DET | 5 |
Sullinger has been excellent with Kelly Olynyk sidelined. He's coming off a game where he posted 15 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. His matchup with the Cavs should provide low-ownership.
It's always a question how many minutes Duncan will play. With no game Friday or Sunday for the Spurs, he could see 25-30 minutes if the game stays close enough. Given his low salary, he should be able to return value if he sees an increased workload.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Lavoy Allen (IND) | at WAS | 4 |
Tyler Zeller (BOS) | at CLE | 3 |
Cole Aldrich (LAC) | vs. ATL | 3 |
DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) | at SA | 3 |
Willie Cauley-Stein (SAC) | at SA | 2 |
Kendrick Perkins (NO) | vs. UTA | 2 |
Cousins and Cauley-Stein shouldn't be trusted against the Spurs. Cousins is far too expensive and Cauley-Stein is far too unproven.
