Listed as favorites to win the World Series, Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon has a simple message for his team: Try not to suck.
The skipper and the rest of his team donned T-shirts with the slogan emblazoned on their chests Sunday.
"It's the most positive negative you've ever heard," Maddon told reporters.
Prior to Javier Baez's season debut last year, Maddon offered him the words of encouragement, "Try not to suck."
The club will sell the shirts online and donate the proceeds to charity.
