Is LeBron just trolling everyone with cryptic tweets?
Earlier in his NBA career, LeBron James said he wanted to become a "global icon." That goal has essentially come to pass, and he knows it.
With close to 29 million Twitter followers and another 19 million on Instagram, James is well-aware that anything he posts on social media has an incredible reach. That's why recent cryptic tweets from his account drew so much attention and got people talking about whether he's trying to send a message to his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates - and the team's management.
He shared this deep thought on Sunday:
It's this simple. U can't accomplished the dream if everyone isn't dreaming the same thing everyday. Nightmares follow. #TheDC #SFG

One Cavaliers beat reporter, Cleveland.com's Chris Haynes, was able to ask James about the tweets. He called them "Da Vinci code".

While James' Twitter musings aren't at Kanye West levels yet, and he's avoided public feuds, the power his keypad holds is clear. Whether he's just having fun, engaged in a ploy to motivate other players, or attempting to refocus attention on himself in a league captivated by the Golden State Warriors, he likely knows exactly what he's doing.
