Report: Kronwall suffers knee sprain, expected to return before end of season

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall is expected to miss time after suffering a suspected knee sprain, but should return before the conclusion of the regular season, Sportsnet's Damien Cox reports.
According to Cox, Kronwall had an MRI on the injured joint after twisting to the ice awkwardly, and underneath teammates, in Saturday's win over the New York Rangers.
The veteran defenseman told MLive's Ansar Khan that he did not believe the injury was serious.
A further update is expected Sunday.
He's already missed 15 games with a knee injury this season.
