Jamie Dixon's run at Pitt could be coming to an end.

After 13 seasons with the Panthers, Dixon is weighing an opportunity to jump to TCU to fill the Horned Frogs' vacant head coaching position, reports Gary Parrish of CBS Sports.

While a move from the ACC to Big 12 might appear lateral at best, Parrish notes that Dixon isn't as popular with the Panthers' fanbase as he once was, and the school has changed athletic directors and chancellors since he was hired in 2003.

If he makes the move to the Horned Frogs, Dixon will be returning to his alma mater, as he played for TCU from 1984-1987.

Dixon is under contract with Pitt through 2023, but TCU is reportedly willing to "make the money right" to lure the 50-year-old.

TCU hasn't appeared in the NCAA tournament since 1998. Dixon has led Pitt to the event 11 times.
