Tuesday's Power Forward Value Rankings
Here are theScore's power forward value rankings for Tuesday, March 22:
Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C
Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Zach Randolph (MEM) | at LAL | 9 |
JaMychal Green (MEM) | at LAL | 8 |
Thaddeus Young (BKN) | vs. CHA | 8 |
Willie Reed (BKN) | vs. CHA | 8 |
Randolph returned from a knee injury on Saturday to post a triple-double. The Grizzlies don't have the luxury of easing him back in due to a plethora of other injuries, so he'll continue to be a bargain with a high usage rate. Green is slightly cheaper, and although he doesn't have the same upside, he's a great candidate to return value.
Reed has returned near-elite value every time he's played over 20 minutes. Nets C Brook Lopez may return Tuesday, but Reed is an option either way.
Best of the Rest
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Donatas Motiejunas (HOU) | at OKC | 7 |
Serge Ibaka (OKC) | vs. HOU | 6 |
Brandon Bass (LAL) | vs. MEM | 5 |
Motiejunas and Ibaka could each return value as they go head-to-head. Favor Ibaka if Thunder SF Kevin Durant doesn't play. Bass will go largely unowned, despite averaging 10.2 points and 4.8 rebounds over his past 12 games. He plays only 23.7 minutes per game, but he's been highly efficient and returning steady value.
Nothing to See Here
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Julius Randle (LAL) | vs. MEM | 3 |
Marvin Williams (CHA) | at BKN | 2 |
Randle has made two or fewer field goals in two of his past three games. He played less than 30 minutes in both those games. His production has been far too variant to trust him, regardless of matchup.
