A couple of Buffalo Sabres rookies are making their presence felt early.
Forward Hudson Fasching picked up his first career goal in his first career game Saturday, crashing the net and slamming the puck past Winnipeg Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson.
The moment was equally special for defenseman Casey Nelson, who picked up a secondary assist on the goal, giving him his first NHL point in his first NHL game.
Via @EliasSports: Fasching/Nelson are 1st Sabres to record their 1st pts on the same goal in their debut since Mogilny/Snuggerud (10/5/89).

Both players were signed out of college by the Sabres earlier in the week.
The question now: Who gets to keep the puck?
