Thanks to a 100-91 defeat to the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night, the Philadelphia 76ers guaranteed themselves the best odds of capturing the No. 1 pick in this year's draft.
The Sixers (9-66) will now have a 25 percent chance of earning the first pick and a 64.3 percent chance of landing in the top three.
While Philadelphia has become notorious for tanking during Sam Hinkie's tenure as general manager, this marks the first time the Sixers will have the best chance of grabbing first overall since Hinkie took over in 2013.
The 2016 draft has the potential to turn the franchise around, considering that the Sixers could have up to four first-round picks depending on how the lottery plays out.
