Here are theScore's second baseman value rankings for Monday, April 4:

Value Rankings
C | 1B | 2B | 3B | SS | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Ben Zobrist (CHC) at LAA 10
Daniel Murphy (WAS) at ATL 9

Zobrist is a career 6-for-11 with a home run off Garrett Richards. He is projected to hit third in one of the best lineups in all of baseball. He has OBP-wonders Dexter Fowler and Jason Heyward in front of him and plenty of power with Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant and Kyle Schwarber behind him.

Murphy has a 1.063 OPS in 16 at bats versus Julio Teheran. He'll be out to prove last postseason's power surge was no fluke.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Brian Dozier (MIN) at BAL 7
Brandon Phillips (CIN) vs. PHI 7
Anthony Rendon (WAS) at ATL 7
Joe Panik (SF) at MIL 6
Logan Forsythe (TB) vs. TOR 6
Cesar Hernandez (PHI) at CIN 5
Jonathan Schoop (BAL) vs. MIN 5
Addison Russell (CHC) at LAA 5
Chase Utley (LAD) at SD 5
Aaron Hill (MIL) vs. SF 5

Rendon's projected spot in the batting order -- sandwiched between speedster Ben Revere and masher Bryce Harper -- is a recipe for success.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Brett Lawrie (CWS) at OAK 3
Robinson Cano (SEA) at TEX 2
Rougned Odor (TEX) vs. SEA 2
DJ LeMahieu (COL) at ARI 2
Jace Peterson (ATL) vs. WAS 1
Scooter Gennett (MIL) vs. SF 1
Danny Espinosa (WAS) at ATL 1

Cano is just 3-for-18 in his career versus Cole Hamels. Fade him at all costs.

Odor should have a long career ahead of him, but he's just 2-for-17 against Felix Hernandez, one of the best in the business.
