Here are theScore's third baseman value rankings for Monday, April 4:

Value Rankings

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Josh Donaldson (TOR) at TB 10
Manny Machado (BAL) vs. MIN 9
Daniel Murphy (WAS) at ATL 9
Yunel Escobar (LAA) vs. CHC 8
Jed Lowrie (OAK) vs. CWS 8

Despite being the reigning AL MVP, Donaldson is priced below the top-tier of third baseman. Donaldson, a right-handed hitter, has been a much better hitter off lefties for his career. He has great numbers against LHP Drew Smyly: 5-for-8 with three extra base hits. Donaldson bats second in the best offense in baseball. He can be taken in all formats.

Escobar and Lowrie both come at a low cost and have outstanding numbers against their opposing pitchers.

Best of the Rest

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Kyle Seager (SEA) at TEX 7
Anthony Rendon (WAS) at ATL 7
Maikel Franco (PHI) at CIN 7
Justin Turner (LAD) at SD 7
Evan Longoria (TB) vs. TOR 6
Yasmany Tomas (ARI) vs. COL 6
Miguel Sano (MIN) at BAL 6
Matt Duffy (SF) at MIL 6
Adonis Garcia (ATL) vs. WAS 5
Kris Bryant (CHC) at LAA 5
Trevor Plouffe (MIN) at BAL 5
Aaron Hill (MIL) vs. SF 5

Seager has average numbers against starter Cole Hamels, but his numbers at Globe Life Park in Arlington can't be ignored: .353/.405/.576 with seven homers in 170 at bats. Draft him in tournaments.

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Todd Frazier (CWS) at OAK 4
Adrian Beltre (TEX) vs. SEA 4
Danny Valencia (OAK) vs. CWS 4
Jake Lamb (ARI) vs. COL 3
Nolan Arenado (COL) at ARI 3
Hector Olivera (ATL) vs. WAS 2
Yangervis Solarte (SD) vs. LAD 1

Valencia has struggled mightily against Chris Sale in his career, but it's worth keeping in mind that he's a career .321 hitter off lefties.

Arenado is just 5-for-24 against Zack Greinke in his career. He isn't worth taking a flier on away from Coors Field against this level of pitching.
