Wednesday's Winger Value Rankings
Here are the winger value rankings for Wednesday, April 6:
Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Brandon Saad (CLB) | at TOR | 10 |
Boone Jenner (CLB) | at TOR | 9 |
Wayne Simmonds (PHI) | at DET | 8 |
Saad's floor is immense because he's shooting the puck 4.1 times a game over his last 10 outings, but it is his scoring (four goals, three assists) and soft matchup against Leafs' goalie Garret Sparks makes the Blue Jackets' forward a must-own player across all formats.
Jenner is in a similar boat as Saad. But what he gives up in shot attempts, he has made up with six goals in his last 10 games. Roster both together in tournament play for a low-cost, high-upside stack.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Brayden Schenn (PHI) | at DET | 7 |
Jordan Eberle (EDM) | vs. VAN | 6 |
Dylan Larkin (DET) | vs. PHI | 5 |
These first-line wingers aren't the biggest names on their teams, but they have consistent playing time and exposure to dynamic teammates. They all make for good cash-game plays, or tournament stacking options.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
P.A. Parenteau (TOR) | vs. CLB | 3 |
Taylor Hall (EDM) | vs. VAN | 2 |
Daniel Sedin (VAN) | at EDM | 2 |
As one of the priciest wingers on the slate, DFSers should look for an option that has more than three goals and one assist over their last 10 games. Hall has significantly under-performed expectations. The same applies to Sedin. Let other DFSers take on the risk in these well-known but slumping skaters.
