Report: ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer to leave network
Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports
The NFL Draft apparently isn't just an event for players to find new homes, as ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer is set to leave the network, sources told Bob Raissman of the New York Daily News.
The "Monday Countdown" crew member is certainly one of the most engaging analysts on the network. The same sources say money is the main issue for the split, and represents the latest in a series of high-profile exits for ESPN talent.
"Monday Night Football" play-by-play voice Mike Tirico is leaving for NBC Sports, and will be the lead voice on the "Thursday Night Football" broadcast. Skip Bayless and Brad Nessler are also headed away from the media conglomerate, and are rumored to be joining Fox Sports and CBS respectively.
