Cardinals' Arians: 'We'd be 5-2' if Catanzaro made kicks
Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians isn't mincing words regarding the kicking performance of Chandler Catanzaro this season.
A day after saying, "You get paid to make it," when asked about Catanzaro's missed 24-yard field goal in overtime of Sunday's tie with the Seattle Seahawks, Arians doubled down on his criticism.
"The kicker needs to kick it between the two poles," Arians said Monday, according to Tom Pelissero of USA Today. "We'd be 5-2."
Catanzaro also missed what would've been a game-winning field goal in a Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. That miss was more excusable, with it being a 47-yard attempt, but Arians is making it clear that kicking has let his team down this season.
That being said, when asked if he supports Catanzaro fully, Arians said "yes."
