Report: Lawyer confirms Talib shot himself during offseason
Aqib Talib's lawyer has confirmed that the Denver Broncos cornerback accidentally shot himself in his left leg during an incident in Dallas on June 5, 2016 that resulted in a trip to the hospital and a gunshot wound in his calf, according to Mike Klis of 9News.
Talib has never publicly expounded on how he sustained the injury. While he spent much of the Broncos' offseason program recovering from the gunshot wound, the Pro Bowl corner was healthy enough to play by the opening week of the season.
In October, Dallas police determined the injury was self-inflicted. Talib's lawyer provided further confirmation in a letter to the Dallas police department, Klis reports.
Klis has also learned that the league will review the incident. Talib could be subject to league discipline under its personal conduct policy.
