Reggie Bush: Lions and Bears 'battling for that No. 1 spot'

The Detroit Lions have been one of the league's worst teams over the past decade, posting only one winning season since 2001. That campaign came in 2011, where the Lions won 10 games and reached the playoffs.

Running back Reggie Bush knows in order for the team to get back there they are going to have to overcome the Chicago Bears, who had an impressive offseason.

“They have gotten better," Bush said Friday on SportsTalk Live. "Obviously the Chicago Bears are a really good team. And they’re a divisional opponent for us, so we’re going to face them twice this year and it’s going to be two tough battles every time we play them."

The team added defensive standouts Jared Allen and Lamarr Houston to beef up the defense, to go along with an offense that already boasts Jay Cutler, Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery.

"It’s a tough place to play in Chicago, especially in the winter when it’s freezing cold," added Bush. "Two really good teams will be going at it and battling for that No. 1 spot.”

While that very well may be true, Bush seems to have forgotten about the Green Bay Packers. The Pack have three-straight NFC North titles, while the Bears haven't reached the postseason since 2010.
