- Rob Gronkowski seems to be progressing well, so it will likely take a second round pick to get him. If he is healthy, that's still a good value.
- Jordan Cameron isn't getting getting enough hype for a tight end who had 80 receptions, 917 yards and seven touchdown a year ago.
- Jason Witten will fall a little further in your draft than he should and you will pass him by thinking he's a boring pick, but the guy continues to produce.
- Greg Olsen, Jordan Reed and Dennis Pitta have high floors, but slightly lower ceilings than some of the names above them on the list. They offer more security than the players we will talk about next.
- Ladarius Green, Charles Clay and Zach Ertz are going to be solid fantasy tight ends, the only question is whether that will be this season. Green is trying to carve out playing time, Clay's role in the new system is unclear, Ertz has to fight for targets in a wide-open offense.
- Do not forget about Dwayne Allen, who is a very talented tight end coming off a lost season due to injury.
- Rookies Eric Ebron and Jace Amaro seem to be having growing pains in their first NFL training camps, while Austin Seferian-Jenkins is generating buzz in Tampa Bay.
