- All indications are that Kyle Rudolph is in for a big season and he is in our top five for that very reason. Offensive coordinator Norv Turner is known for featuring his tight ends, but more importantly, Rudolph has looked the part of an elite tight end both in practice and games in 2014. If you can get him on your team without overpaying, you're golden.
- Greg Olsen and Jason Witten both move ahead of Vernon Davis in the top 10. All three are talented players at their positions, but it's easier to see Olsen and Witten posting more consistent numbers in their offenses. Davis has a history of disappearing when Michael Crabtree is in the lineup.
- It doesn't seem like Dwayne Allen is getting the kind of buzz that he should. That will change during the season.
- Travis Kelce could be the true sleeper of this group. With Kansas City in desperate need of pass catchers, Kelce may emerge as the team's most reliable threat.
- Richard Rodgers appears to be the Packers' starting tight end. It's not the most exciting news, since the team will likely still rotate in Andrew Quarless and Brandon Bostick.
