Ray Lewis weighs in on Ray Rice suspension
Former Baltimore Ravens star Ray Lewis was quick to distance himself from former teammate Ray Rice in light of the running back's suspension Monday.
Lewis made an appearance on ESPN, offering his take on Rice's assault.
"If you treat your mother a certain way, you'll treat your woman a certain way," Lewis said per Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun.
"When you watch this video, you see that somewhere this young man, some leadership was lost. He got out there out there and started doing his own thing and what happens is what's in the dark is going to come to light."
Lewis was asked about his tangles with the law, as he was charged with obstruction of justice in 2000.
"One thing (Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti) made very clear: There is no comparison of me and Ray Rice. It's night and day. It's night and day of anything we've ever been through. And that's why both situations are totally different."
