Chargers' Woodhead carted off with apparent ankle injury

San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead was carted off the field Sunday on the team's opening drive against the Buffalo Bills with an apparent right ankle injury.

He is questionable to return.

Woodhead was starting in place of Ryan Mathews, who sprained his MCL last week and will miss about a month.

Donald Brown will likely receive the bulk of the carries for the remainder of the game.
