Minnesota Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel fractured "several" bones in his foot in a 20-9 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Cassel left Sunday's game in the second quarter, after taking a massive hit from Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton and safety Kenny Vaccaro.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed the injury after the game, and named Teddy Bridgewater the starter for the immediate future.
It has been a rough two weeks for the Vikings and it won't get much easier going against a Falcons team that scored 56 points Thursday, in Week 4.
