Fantasy: LeSean McCoy overcomes injury scare but not Redskins defense
Eric Hartline / USA TODAY Sports
The good news for LeSean McCoy's fantasy owners is that the Philadelphia Eagles running back quickly returned to the game Sunday after he suffered a nasty hit to the head in the first half.
The bad news? McCoy was largely ineffective on an afternoon that saw Nick Foles and the Eagles passing game carry the team to a win 37-34 over the Washington Redskins.
McCoy finished the game with 20 carries for just 22 yards. He was just as bad in the passing game, catching one pass for zero yards.
There will be many better days ahead for the consensus top-two draft pick. Chalk this game up to a combination of game script and a surprisingly fiesty Redskins defense - and count your blessings that McCoy wasn't seriously injured.
