- Calvin Johnson needs to move some things around and make room for Julio Jones, who is about to join him in the wide receiver penthouse. We officially have two uber-elite pass catchers in the NFL. Hopefully you have one of them on your fantasy team.
- Brandon Marshall desperately needs a bye week to get healthy, but the Bears don't get a break until Week 9. Marshall re-aggravated his ankle injury in last week's win over the Jets and was clearly hobbled in the second half. Alshon Jeffery was the beneficiary, hauling in eight passes for 105 yards. Jeffery stands to gain the most from Marshall being at less than 100 percent.
- The Chargers have been spreading the ball around to everyone but Keenan Allen. The second-year wideout will get his turn to shine this week against the Jaguars defense, that simply doesn't have an answer for opposing offenses.
- Teddy Bridgewater taking over the offense should be good for Cordarrelle Patterson's fantasy prospects. The dynamic receiver has been held to 61 yards or less in each of the first three games, but a matchup at home with the Falcons secondary should help him set a new season high.
- Since his 110-yard performance in Week 1, Marques Colston has two receptions and 25 yards over the last two games. One of those catches went for a touchdown, but that doesn't make up for the low totals. Better days are on the way for fantasy owners with the Cowboys up this week and Buccaneers on deck.
- How can anyone bet against Steve Smith facing his old team? I expect a big game from the rejuvenated veteran.
- Don't be scared off by Roddy White being ruled inactive last week. He will be back in the lineup against the Vikings and back to being a borderline top-20 fantasy receiver.
- Happy to see T.Y. Hilton back at practice despite an ankle injury scare last Sunday. Hilton's breakout game is coming and I'm betting on it happening this week against the Titans.
- Receivers who could far exceed their ranking: Cecil Shorts, Markus Wheaton, Malcom Floyd, Davante Adams.
