Bengals' Still says daughter underwent successful surgery to remove tumor

Mark Zerof / US PRESSWIRE

Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still has won countless battles on the football field, but he just picked up one of the biggest wins of his life off it.

Still's four-year-old daughter, Leah, underwent a nearly six-hour surgical procedure at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Thursday to remove a cancerous tumor.

Afterwards, the surgeon gave the good news that the tumor was removed.

Still posted this photo and the message below to his Instagram account after receiving the good news.

After a 5hr 50min surgery the surgeon was able to remove ALL of her tumor and all of her lymph nodes and her right adrenal gland where it all started from...best news I've received in a long time #PrayForLeah #GodIsGood #ThanksForYourSupport

Leah was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma June 2.

Next up for Leah will be another round of chemotherapy, radiation, and stem-cell transplants in an effort to regenerate her bone marrow and stem cells.

The Still family continues to wait for the day when doctors declare Leah completely cancer-free.
