Lions' Suh, Caldwell decline to discuss New York rumors

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh made a quick exit following Sunday's 24-17 victory over the New York Jets, ignoring questions about his future in Detroit.

Those questions were instead directed towards Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, but he wasn't in a mood to address them either.

"I'm not going to even go there," Caldwell said, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Suh did not change in the Lions locker room following the game, according to Birkett, and boarded the team bus while still wearing the undershirt he played in.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that both Suh and the Lions "are preparing" to part ways when he hits free agency at the end of the season.

Schefter points to the Jets or Giants as possible destinations, as Suh has reportedly told people in the past that he would like to play in New York.

The Lions were optimistic about reaching a long-term deal with Suh during the offseason, but when the two sides failed to come to an agreement, talks were shelved until the end of the season.
