Ravens' Steve Smith criticizes Panthers organization again

After a standout performance Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith has more to say about his now-former team.

Focusing his criticism on general manager David Gettleman in particular, Smith opened up about the final months of his time in Carolina to Charlotte radio station WFNZ on Wednesday.

"Yes, it was personal with me and Dave Gettleman," Smith said via ESPN. "Obviously, I did something that got under his skin."

Prior to an appointment scheduled with Gettleman to talk about his future with the team, Smith says that he heard about his release on the radio.

"He doesn't even have the cojones to tell us to our face. We have to hear it from someone else. Then he calls and says, like everyone else says, 'It wasn't personal.' If the first thing that comes out is, 'It wasn't personal' ... Guess what? It was personal."

When asked if he had anything to say to Gettleman now, Smith declined and said his play on Sunday says enough:

"I don't have anything to say to Dave Gettleman. He told me what he thought of me. And my play (Sunday) told me what I thought of him."
